Nice, really looks that you could just walk into the sun.

Nice timing! Love that pier, but never manage to be around when it's sunset and in line with it.

We were very lucky - we went looking for birds, and were luckily there right as the sun set.

Herons, Kingfishers or Eagles ? or the water fowl - buffleheads?? (cant remember the other ducks I've seen out there...)

Mainly we were looking at ducks and water birds - saw almost 45 Western Grebes, some Goldeneyes, Buffleheads, Cormorants, and also saw this weird array of hundreds of Surf Scoters all lined up and hanging out.

Ah yes - the armada (our nickname for that formation) - hilarious when they find food and all dive/surface in sequence. The Cormorants are pretty common down around the south end (Fort ward / South Beach) - love watching them warm their wings.

Yeah, it's pretty fun. We saw the cormorants flying across the water more than we saw them sitting anywhere today - still fun to watch though. When the buffleheads head across the water they're really fun to watch - so fast!
